Who,Whom,Which,That,Whose,etc.

The Use of Who, Whom and Whose

(a). The woman who lives next door is doctor.
Who- is the Subject.
Sometime who/that/which is the object of the verb.
(b). The women Who i wanted to see was away on holiday.
Who- is Object
I- is the Subject

(c) Whom is possible instead of who when is the object of verb the women whom i wanted to see was away.

(d) We can also use whom with a preposition (to whom, from, with, whom).
First Example The People with whom i work are very nice.


a. First Example The woman who i wanted to see was away on holiday. (Formal English)
b. Second Example The woman whom i wanted to see was away on holiday. (Spoken English)

The ma whom i saw was tall.
